Do you wish you could take better notes during meetings or classes held on Microsoft Teams? Jeremy Chapman from the Microsoft 365 team demonstrates a new way to automate the process.

Now in Microsoft Teams, keeping detailed notes for your meetings just got easier, with in-context and automated meeting transcripts using the brand-new and AI-driven speech-to-text transcription capability built into Teams.

Once started, you can watch meeting transcription happen in real time. When the meeting is over, the transcript with speaker attribution is available to all meeting participants directly in the meeting's chat. So everyone in the meeting can easily get to it and know what each person said.

If you’ve ever wondered how news anchors or public speakers can stay on point and present their topics in a crisp and concise way, within a limited timeframe, chances are they are using a teleprompter.

In today’s work from home tip, Jeremy Chapman from the Microsoft 365 team will show you how you can use Microsoft Word to easily convert any document into something that works perfectly as a teleprompter, then we’ll show you how to use Microsoft Teams as a way to project this teleprompter screen to a remote presenter or a second device like a phone screen.

See how the latest updates to Azure Migrate provide one unified environment to discover and assess your servers, databases, and apps, and easily migrate them to Azure. Jeremy Chapman is joined by Abhishek Hemrajani, Group PM Manager for Azure Migration, to explore how we’ve merged three different tool sets for discovery and assessment into one unified, at scale, agentless discovery and assessment experience.

Discovery: Track multiple SQL server instances on the same server, and discover the different user databases within those instances.

Assessment: Understand the compatibility of various applications running on the server for successful migration. Assess for Azure SQL, Azure VMware Solution or AVS.

Issues & warnings: Understand the readiness and any potential migration concerns.

Cost details: Review compute and storage costs for every instance that has been assessed. Estimate monthly compute and storage costs when you run your SQL server databases on Azure SQL.

Experiment & modify assessments: Modify your assessment properties at any time, and recalculate the assessment. Compare assessments across different dimensions that were used to create them.

Azure Cognitive Search is a PaaS solution that allows you to integrate sophisticated search capabilities into your applications. It helps you quickly ingest, enrich, and explore structured and unstructured data, and is available to everyone.

Azure and Bing teams have worked together to bring learned ranking models to Azure for you to leverage in your custom search solutions. Now search can extract and index information from any format, applying machine learning techniques to understand latent structure in all data. Distinguished engineer, Pablo Castro, joins host Jeremy Chapman, to walk you through the improvements and show you how the intelligence works behind these powerful capabilities. Semantic Search: Relevance, Captions, and Answers: Create similar experiences to web search engines, but for your own application and on your own data. Search matches words, but also understands the context of the words relative to the words surrounding them. Offers a significant improvement in relevant results; all you have to do is enable it.

Spell correction, Inverted index, Prep model, and Re-ranker Keyword searches return exact matches and ranking is often only based on the rate of relevant frequencies of the words. Capture nuances in the language for a more sophisticated machine learning model that's course document relevant in the context of the query.
